just the right size
please notice the size is only about 4 feet so if your looking for the full size version, keep looking. perfect size for my gameroom.
the top can be unlatched & used as a counter top popcorn machine, so it's versatile.
i was worried that it might splatter oil on the floor, but nope, it doesn't do that at all.
it comes with all of the tools you'll need to put it together, including a screwdriver. (tip; DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS)
the motor is just a little noisy but it's in my gameroom, so no big deal for me, but i could see it being a bit noisy for a tv room of home theater.
the thing i don't really like is that is only makes a little bit of popcorn at a time. so you have to keep filling it up with oil & popcorn seeds. maybe about 3 - 4 times just to cover the bottom & about 8-10 times to fill it up adequately. not a big deal because it pops very quickly so in about ten minutes you can fill it up, it's just tedious.
also it doesn't keep the popcorn...
More than Pleased!
I was hesitant to purchase this for Father's Day not knowing what it looks like. I saw it at Sam's Club, but in the 53", and to my surprise, it's really sharp-looking. I called my dad to see if he liked it and he was really thrilled to have his own popcorn machine for his gameroom. Dad happy, I am happy!!
NIce for the price
This is a good unit to buy if you're not quite sure you want to spend the top dollar on a larger one. It is very fiddly to assemble, but the instructions are good and every piece fits perfectly. The unit works well and as it should but the lids on the popper are a bit light and allow some unpopped kernels to escape with the popping ones.
