Dri It Moisture Absorber

So far it is good
It is hard for me to tell if this product really does its job because I live in a dry climate on the central west coast.
I use it in a small safe to keep pistols and paper dry and it certainly is dry there.

I was initially worried about damage caused by the chemicals, but after talking to the manufacturer this is a non issue as long as you are careful to make sure the paper pouch does not contact stored goods. One side is heavy waxed paper and you can lay the pouch on this without removing the peel if you want. The wax surface is an effective barrier and I have had no problems.

So far, so good. Those of you who live in the mid-West or tropics will be doing the real testing.

No more musty smells and mold in my stored Mustang
I am a small-time collector of classic cars, and really was having problems with mustiness and mold growing in the cars in storage. Tried the bucket stuff, but I spilled it and made a heck of a mess. Found this Dri-It through a buddy in Texas who also collects classics. He told me about Dri-It and gave me as few to try...dang! Worked great! No more mustiness and dank smells accumulate. Love it. I'll try it in my RV too.

This so much more convenient than Damp-Rid
I have used the "other brand" (DampRid) for many years to keep closets dry but always found it to be a hassle to load-up those crystals in their basket but the bigger hassle is emptying the chemical-water that collects in the bucket. I'm not particularly clumsy but I've spilled that collected water many times!

I recently discovered Dri-It and found it to be so much easier to use, as effective if not better in terms of keeping the closet free of mildew, and there's just no risk of spilling chemical water.

It's just so much more convenient to use and the price makes it a great value.
